You are Funding Lasting Change
Your $15 a month keeps an advocate in the room at the Arizona Capitol, speaking up for the whole disability community, including the self-advocates, caregivers, and providers who can't be there themselves.
Your membership also gets you the training to do some of that advocacy yourself. Learn how to read a bill, tell your story to a lawmaker, and push for change right alongside us, all on your own schedule.
Here's what that includes:
- Skills we use at the Capitol, broken down so you can use them too
- Policy summaries that actually make sense
- Action alerts ready to go, so you can take action in under 5 minutes
Look at What This Community Has Accomplished
Before there was a website, a budget, or a single paid staff member, we secured $122 million in GAP funding. Zero dollars spent. Just people showing up.
That same energy shows up every time there's a Call to Action regarding policy that affects really people. One campaign took public comments on a single policy from a few hundred to 4,600.
Another coalition initiative kept DDD funding, the program our families and self-advocates rely on, steady while other departments got cut in a state wide budget proposal.
None of that happens without the work behind it. The team showed up 484 times in one year, in meetings, on calls with lawmakers, at the Capitol, and at community events.
And this is still growing. Over 7,000 people are already in the free community, and you can be one of them.
Arizona has exactly one nonpartisan coalition that lobbies for both adults and children with disabilities. When this community moves together, the people deciding your future pay attention.

The words, ready to go.

The real version of the newsletter.
Members get more depth than the public version, so you're never caught off guard by what's coming.
People who get it.
Self-advocates, families, and caregivers living inside the same systems you are, ready to answer questions and share what they know.
All four perspectives. One table.
You are a Self-Advocate. You live with a disability, and you want to say in the policies that shape your access, your services, and your independence. This is your seat, and we speak to you directly, not through anyone else.
You care for an adult with a disability. The system did not stop mattering when they turned 18. Neither did we. This community covers the whole lifespan.
You are raising a child with a disability. From a new diagnosis to an IEP to the services that keep your family steady, you get people who have already walked this road.
You are a Direct Care Worker. The policies we fight decide your funding and your job. Stayy ahead of them, and earn CEU while you do.
Two ways in, both fund the work!

Why Now and Not later?
Medicaid cuts are coming to every state over the next few years, and Arizona has one of the strongest home and community-based services programs in the country.
The work to protect it isn't waiting for the cuts to land. It's happening right now, in committee rooms, policy decisions, and legislator meetings, while there's still room to shape how this goes.
