Raising Voices Foundation is the community action arm of the Raising Voices movement.
While Raising Voices Coalition advances policy, systems reform, community led advocacy, and civic engagement, the Foundation activates communities to turn inclusion into lived reality in the places where people live, gather, and belong. We do this by elevating lived experience and ensuring community voices help shape how access is created on the ground.
We mobilize resources, partnerships, and people to remove real world barriers that limit participation for individuals with disabilities of all ages, while amplifying the voices of those most impacted by exclusion.
Access to community life is directly connected to health, stability, and quality of life. When barriers exist, they lead to isolation and preventable inequities. Our work focuses on raising voices within communities to activate solutions that strengthen inclusion, wellbeing, and connection.
Our work is guided by individuals with disabilities, caregivers, and community members with lived experience, because meaningful access begins by listening.
We believe access is not optional.

We envision communities where voices are heard, accessibility is built into design, public spaces welcome full participation, events are planned with inclusion in mind, dignity is preserved in everyday moments, and disability is never a barrier to belonging.

Why It Matters
For many families, lack of access leads to isolation, missed events, skipped outings, and exclusion from community life. Too often, the voices of individuals with disabilities and caregivers are absent from decisions that shape their communities.ย We are committed to changing that.
