Learn More About Courtney - Our Board Certified Special Education Advocate & Disability Rights Champion

With over 15 years of experience as a Board Certified Special Education Advocate, Courtney Burnett has dedicated her life to empowering individuals with disabilities and their families. As a mother of three, including a daughter with a rare genetic disorder who is nonspeaking, her advocacy is not only professional—it’s deeply personal.

Her passion for creating a more inclusive and accessible world has led to significant legislative victories in Arizona. Courtney was instrumental in passing a bill mandating universal changing tables in public spaces, and another securing critical funding for the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD)—both of which have made a profound impact on families across the state.

Driven by her daughter's daily experiences and the broader challenges faced by the disability community, Courtney is committed to breaking down barriers in education, public policy, and community access. Through her work, she aims to ensure that all children and adults with disabilities are not only seen and heard—but supported, valued, and fully included in every aspect of life.

Her mission is simple yet powerful: to create a world where accessibility is the norm, not the exception, and where every individual with a disability can thrive.
