These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern membership in Raising Voices Coalition (“RVC” or “the Coalition”). By applying for membership and paying a membership fee, members agree to abide by this Agreement and all applicable bylaws, policies, and procedures adopted by the Coalition.
1. Membership Categories and Eligibility
Membership in Raising Voices Coalition is open to the following groups:
- Caregivers – Parents, guardians, or family members who provide care for individuals with disabilities.
- Self-Advocates – Individuals with disabilities who wish to join in their own right.
- Agencies – Provider organizations, nonprofits, or service entities that work within the disability community.
- Businesses/Organizations – Companies, associations, or allied partners that support the mission of Raising Voices Coalition.
Eligibility is determined by the Coalition in accordance with its mission and values.
2. Membership Rights and Benefits
- Access to RVC programs, advocacy tools, events, and trainings.
- Participation in member communications and opportunities to engage in advocacy campaigns.
- Agencies and organizations may receive recognition on the Coalition website and in advocacy materials.
- Members may submit ideas, concerns, and policy recommendations for consideration by RVC leadership.
3. Membership Obligations
Members agree to:
- Support the mission of Raising Voices Coalition: advancing disability rights, caregiver empowerment, and sustainable advocacy.
- Abide by the RVC Code of Conduct and maintain respectful, inclusive communication in all Coalition spaces. (both virtual and in person)
- Keep membership dues current.
4. Legislative and Policy Input
RVC welcomes and values member input into legislative priorities and advocacy strategies. Members may submit ideas, share concerns, and suggest policy directions at any time.
However, by joining as a member you acknowledge and agree that while RVC leadership will listen to, review, and consider all member input, the Coalition is not obligated to champion any individual idea, campaign, or policy recommendation.
This ensures that advocacy efforts remain strategic, coordinated, and aligned with the Coalition’s mission and resources.
5. Code of Conduct
Members are expected to:
- Treat all individuals with dignity, respect, and fairness.
- Uphold principles of inclusion and nondiscrimination.
- Engage in advocacy and discussion in a constructive and professional manner.
Harassment, discrimination, or actions that harm the mission of RVC may result in suspension or termination of membership without refund of any membership fees already paid.
6. Membership Fees and Renewals
- Membership dues are set annually by the Board of Directors.
- Dues are payable upon application and renewal.
- Nonpayment of dues within 30 days of renewal date will result in suspension of membership benefits.
- Membership dues are non-refundable.
7. Termination or Suspension
Membership may be suspended or terminated for:
- Failure to pay dues
- Violation of the Code of Conduct as determined by the RVC Board
- Actions contrary to the mission of the Coalition
Members subject to termination will be notified in writing and may appeal in accordance with Coalition policies.
8. Intellectual Property and Branding
- Members may not use the name, logo, or branding of Raising Voices Coalition without prior written approval.
- Materials provided by RVC are for educational, advocacy, and member-use only and may not be reproduced for commercial purposes without consent.
9. Confidentiality and Data Protection
- RVC will collect and maintain member information solely for the purposes of communication, advocacy, and organizational development.
- Member information will not be sold or shared outside of the Coalition without consent, except as required by law.
10. Dispute Resolution
Members agree to have any disputes between the member and the Coalition resolved by mediation, subject to the laws of the State of Arizona.
11. Amendments
RVC reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Members will be notified of substantive changes within 30 days of adoption. Continued membership constitutes acceptance of amended terms.

By clicking “I Agree” in an online membership sign up process, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agree to abide by the Terms and Conditions of membership in Raising Voices Coalition. I affirm that I will support the mission of the Coalition, conduct myself in accordance with its Code of Conduct, and keep my membership in good standing.
By purchasing the membership, I further acknowledge and agree that while Raising Voices Coalition will listen to, review, and consider all member input regarding legislative and policy priorities, the Coalition is not obligated to champion any idea or proposal.
